Back by popular demand! The turkeys are reared by Edward Wilkinson in York and the taste is exceptional. Fed on fresh herbs from Herbs Unlimited these are a true local, Yorkshire bird. The turkeys come individually boxed with giblets, cooking instructions, a recipe for ‘the perfect Christmas stuffing’ and a pack of fresh herbs.

CHOOSING GAME

If you have never had it before why not try it? Game generally has a rich flavour, so a little bit goes a long way. Goose and duck have a high fat content, which is mostly under the skin, so it bastes the meat during cooking, keeping it nice and moist. Venison is a leaner meat with a robust flavour – making it a great alternative to beef.

For something a bit different this festive season, why not try our whole goose. It’s so simple to prepare and cook – and don’t forget, for delicious crunchy roasties, cook your potatoes in the goose fat.

If you are after something a bit different this Christmas, try venison – the king of red meats. It is lean but succulent, with lots of robust flavour. Our wild venison sirloin cooks in less than half an hour – try adding quartered nectarines to the roasting tin for a tangy accompaniment that complements the meat’s richness.
